Good Evening Kinshasa. I made it all the way through the lovely Congo to the chaotic city of Kinshasa. I'm in a hotel with room service and a bath! My car - still stuck on the ferry but at least on this side of the river. Made it through immigration, and had to pay $75 for them to disinfect my car tomorrow when they take it off from the ferry - I'm going to make use of this African opportunity. They are gonna wash my car from top to bottom for that price..... In the Democratic Republic of the Congo the US $ is the King of all Kings. Wonder if they know that most other African countries do not use the dollar any more.

I'm gonna miss my dope smoking port buddies on the Congo side, and unfortunelty not gonna spend that much time on this port to make some new friends. The guys that is looking after my car tonight - he is armed with a AK and a missile gun thing. So I think my car is safe. Now the visa at Matadi and then it is downhill HOME!!!
